Narsh
Biography
Anashrita Henckel's artwork is characterised by vibrant colours and intricate patterns, synthesising free, intuitive mark-making with bio-geometric forms. She often transforms discarded paper into intricate sculptures that inform her ceramic pieces. Growing up on the Caribbean island of Trinidad instilled in her a profound connection to nature, the ocean, and wildlife. Her relocation to the bustling city of London at the age of 10, sparked a yearning for that natural world, a longing that resonates deeply in her art. Narsh creates content on Youtube for novice artists and works as an educator guiding those under her tutelage with passion, nurturing a sense of responsibility for the natural world.
With a passion for education and extensive experience working with children, Narsh can often be found leading community art projects in schools, working with children to create engaging artworks and murals. Recent projects have been at Windmill Primary School in Oxford, Brighton College sister schools in Abu Dhabi, Brighton UK, Thailand and Kent College Primary School in Dubai.
